Serving in J.A.M. is about the most fun you can have on a Sunday morning! Impacting little lives for Jesus Christ is an amazing opportunity. We separate out the groups according to age. So whether you like 3-5 year olds or 5th graders there is a place for you! |
Goals for J.A.M. Ministry
Ages 0-2 : Jesus
*Hear and recognize the names of God- Jesus, Heavenly Father, God, Christ Jesus, Holy Spirit
*Feel God's love through safe and gentle touch, warm eyes, expressions and loving attitude.
Goals:
*Infants and parents feel welcome
*Families feel secure and cared for.
Ages 3-5: Loves
*Learn the stories of God
*Learn about the heroes of the faith
Goals:
*Children will come with anticipation for being in church
*Enjoy worship
*Children will have some recall of Bible stories
*Children will be introduced to "group", "gifts", and "giving".
Grades K-1: ME!
*Learn that God loves them personally-He wants to be their forever friend
Goals:
*Children expand their understanding of Bible stories
*Children learn about the character of God
*Children learn about forgiveness and sin
*Prayers- ACTS
A- adoration
C- confession
T- thanksgiving
S- supplication

*5 Bible verses
*Practice "group" and "giving"
*Come to know Christ personally
Grades 2-3: This I know!
*Children will learn about the life habits that will help them grow to be fully devoted followers of Christ.
Goals:
*Know the books of the Bible
*How to use the Bible (chapters and verse numbers)
*Children will begin to apply God's truth to everyday situations
*Serving
*10 Bible verses
*Participate in"group" and "giving".
*Come to know Christ personally
Grades 4-5: Yes, Jesus Loves Me!
*Students will continue to explore the "why" of their faith ~regular application of Truth to life
Goals:
*Children have established quite time daily (Bible study and prayer)
*Know the 10 Commandments and the ABCs of Salvation (Admit, Believe, Commit)
*Actively sharing their faith in word, deed and attitude
*Serving (3)
*20 Bible verses
*Invest in "group"
*Learn about the Lord as Provider and us as stewards of His resources.

Volunteer Worker Participation
Worship Services:
Participation in Worship is necessary for our soul when we're serving the Lord. If you serve in JAM at 9:00 AM you should be attending the 11:00 AM service. If you are serving at the 11:00 AM service, you should be attending the 9:00 AM service.

Sunday Morning Prayer:
In order to serve God effectively, we need to be in the right heart and mind with Christ. Every Sunday morning the JAM volunteers get together and meet Christ in prayer. Please make this a priority in the morning. Be ready to go at 10:30 AM

Technology: In order to really serve, communication is critical. If we don't know what is going on in our ministry, we won't be on the same page with everyone else. One major way to keep up with information is by daily checking your e-mail. Also, we will be sending e-newsletters with valuable information regarding JAM. And of course, don't forget about the website. Both on the JAM and church website you will all the info you need to stay connected.
